Market Infrastructure Institutions (MIIs) in India are specialized entities regulated by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) 🏛 that form the backbone of the country's financial market system. They provide essential facilities for trading, clearing, settlement, and depository services to ensure market integrity, efficiency, and investor protection. 🛡📈

The ecosystem consists of three primary categories:

Stock Exchanges: 🏢 Platforms facilitating the buying and selling of securities. Major entities include the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), National Stock Exchange (NSE), Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), and Metropolitan Stock Exchange of India (MSEI).

The SwaYaan Initiative is a national capacity-building program launched by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) in July 2022 to develop human resources for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and drone technologies.

⭕️NIDAR Launch: MeitY and the Drone Federation India (DFI) launched the National Innovation Challenge for Drone Application and Research (NIDAR) to foster innovation in disaster management and precision agriculture. 

✅NIDAR 2.0: The second edition, launched in 2026, emphasizes indigenous technology, specifically challenging teams to develop flight controllers using the VEGA microprocessor. 

Impact: The program has already trained over 32,000 beneficiaries and supports India’s vision of becoming a global drone hub by 2030.
