Me… Me… Me…
I… I… I…
I… I… I…
Me… Me… Me…
You’ve seen those pitches.
“I do this.”
“I’ve built that.”
“My experience is…”
It’s all me, me, me.
I, I, I.
That kind of self-centered mindset doesn’t work, not when you’re trying to earn someone’s attention, trust, or business.
Here’s the hard truth: you’re not special.
Well, maybe to your mother. But beyond that? Nobody really cares about your story, your passion, or your skills just for the sake of it.
People care about themselves.
- Their problems.
- Their goals.
- Their deadlines.
If you want them to listen, stop talking about yourself.
Talk about what they need.
Show how you help them.
Make them feel heard, not pitched to.
That’s how real connection happens.

How to avoid scam job posts on “Upwork” so you save connects, energy and start winning better Projects
I know you are tired of these fake job posts on Upwork.
Today, I am giving it to you for free. All I need is your 3 minutes that saves you from scams:
Let’s get started
The scammers:
Post 3-4 jobs but not hired yet.
Same job postings from different accounts
Vague job descriptions with not enough details
Check the client's hiring history:
Do they actually hire?
Do they leave reviews?
What’s their average spend?
Skip non-serious clients by verifying:
Less than $2-3/hour jobs
Payment verification status
Most of the time I applied for US jobs only
Client location (does it match your target markets?)
Focus on relevance so you won’t waste connects:
Only apply to jobs that perfectly match your skills
Don't waste connects on projects requiring expertise you don't have
Be honest about your capabilities
The manual qualification process
Check the client history before applying
Check their average hourly rate paid
What reviews & feedback they are getting from freelancers
Avoid “BIG test tasks” without contracts
Never do full samples or pre-hire work unless you're protected with a contract.
"Simple task for $500" or "No experience needed, just message me". Man! that’s a red flag.
Never respond to jobs asking for contact outside Upwork
Mentions of WhatsApp, Telegram, or email = 99% scam.
-> Remember, my friend!
Upwork does refund Connects for some declined proposals, but not every time.
So, be selective with your job proposals. This the smartest way to protect your Connects and increase your chances.
Good Luck!

👋 Hey friends,

I started with zero. Now I’ve made over $1,000 working online all from my laptop. 💻💵
So if you’re serious about freelancing, here’s what I suggest no fluff:
🔗 Start here (these helped me):
➡️ Create your Upwork profile
➡️ Ask Uma – the AI Upwork coach
➡️ Use Upwork ads to boost your visibility
➡️ Follow official updates (Release Notes)
✅ Focus on real jobs, not fake ones.
✅ Use your connects wisely.
✅ Keep learning and improving your profile.
You don’t need to be perfect just be consistent.
Your first $100 is the hardest. After that, it gets better.
If you ever feel stuck or want some help message me. I’m happy to share what worked for me.
Let’s grow together. 💪

Upwork Tips That Actually Help
Weird, but they work
Apply only if you can attach at least 4 strong, relevant portfolio pieces
No portfolio? Use ChatGPT to create fake job briefs, then build samples
Check the client’s history before applying
Do they only hire from one country? One price range? Skip if you don’t match
Ignore jobs with 20+ proposals unless you’re in IT
If it’s 2 days old and already has 20+ proposals, skip
Unless:
Client was active in the last 8 hours
Fewer than 10 proposals
You match the job at 95% or more
Avoid clients without verified payment
Never do free work
If they value your work, they’ll pay for it
Someone offering a “long-term role” before seeing your work? That’s a red flag
Don’t apply when you feel desperate
You’ll accept low rates and poor terms
Trust your gut
Ask yourself:
Do I really fit this job?
Is this client worth my time?
Would I hire me based on what I’m sending?
Be smart. Apply less. Win more.

Many people share tips for creating a strong Upwork profile.
If you're new, most advice feels confusing or too technical.
You don’t need advanced tactics to begin.
A simple, clear setup is enough to start.
Here’s how to do it:
🟢 Write a clear headline
Say exactly what you do
Example: “Logo Designer for Small Businesses”
🔣 Upload a professional photo
Use a clear, friendly headshot
Keep the background simple
Avoid filters or logos
🟢 Write a short, client-focused overview
State what you do
Mention your experience or interest
Invite the client to contact you
Example: “I design posts that get attention. Let’s talk about how I can help you grow online.”
🟢 List 5–10 relevant skills
Use keywords clients search for
Example: “Data Entry,” “Copywriting,” “Web Design”
🟢 Add 1–3 strong work samples
Include real or mock projects
Show what you can do
🟢 Set a fair starting rate
Research your field
Begin on the lower side
Adjust as you gain experience
Be honest about your experience
Say if you’re new
Focus on your commitment and skills
Keep it simple and clear
Avoid buzzwords
Speak directly to the client
Improve your profile over time .

Issues with Current Form:
1. Dates and times frequently get misformatted.
2. Some data points are not being captured correctly.
Requirements:
1. Master Raw Data Sheet:
o Instead of creating multiple Excel sheets with raw data for each patient, I would like to consolidate all data into a single master raw data sheet.
o The master raw data sheet should ideally be organized by month so that I can visually differentiate between different months in the raw data.
2. Visual Data Representation:
o I need a tab/sheet that captures this data in the form of visual aids such as graphs.
o From this data, I want to track the following metrics:
Location
Response time (from the time the code was called to the time of arrival)
Average length of code (start to end times)
Patient orientation
Patient insight
Use of PRN medications
Use of restraints (including therapeutic containment and physical restraint)
Injuries to staff
o These metrics should be tracked on a monthly basis and continuously updated to show year-to-date data.
Objective:
• Automate the data entry and visualization process to save time and improve accuracy.
• Resolve issues with date and time formatting as well as data capture errors.
• If possible, improve user functionality, make it easier to manually type this data in, or extract the data from a PDF file, I will pay extra if you can solve this major problem for me as manually entering the data every month is tedious.
