🇪🇸 Just quickly on Barcelona, as it’s a friendly & we don’t usually touch them. Basel’s league season has already started & they played in a cup game YESTERDAY with many of their main men featuring (obviously they won’t play in this one). This friendly is more of a showcase game for them, whereas for Barcelona, they are finally back to a full squad with players who were at the World Cup, back in the squad. This is their final friendly before the season starts next week so a serious warm-up game for the Spanish side. Barcelona will be taking this seriously & should win comfortably against a rotated Basel side with priorities on competitive games.

✅ A whopping 0.3u Profit today for Members. A handful of sweat-free markets in Norway & Iceland with markets we could have gone much much harder on. Members took advantage of Over 12 Corners in KR v Breidablik [21].

🇮🇸 We’d be looking at a +8.50u day if KR could have converted one of their many chances late on. It’s worth mentioning Breidablik had opportunities to win too though so we’ve not been massively hard done by there. 3-3 is probably a fair result.

🌧️ Weather conditions in Finland did us no favours today, the main variable behind an anomaly gamestate in Oulu which ended 2-3 for two ‘Unders’ sides. They played on a waterlogged pitch & I’m surprised it wasn’t called off mid-game to be fair. Quite the chaotic event in the end with players mislead by the ball stopping suddenly. No excuses though, due-diligence should have been carried out from us there with a background check of recent weather/pitch conditions.

🇪🇸 Barcelona covered comfortably (2-5) but combining with our Finnish picks did us no favours.

Ultimately, two successful days this weekend, albeit smaller profit today. The Focus turns to carrying the momentum into the new week & securing higher returns before normality returns next weekend with the return of Premier League Football.

A fortunate promotion looking at the underlying numbers. In Contrast, Man Utd recorded more shots than any other Premier League team. A Huge disparity in quality here and Man Utd Over 13.5 shots falls nicely into the gamestate we expect. They averaged 15.6 six shots per game last season.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Ipswich have recruited plenty of experience following promotion and there's already an interesting pattern under new manager Gary O'Neil. Not only have 5 of their 6 pre season games ended with 3 goals or less, they’ve also produced low shot counts, giving us an early indication of the controlled structure he is trying to implement. That fits Sunderland perfectly, the black cats produced the lowest match goal average in the Premier League last season with 82% of their fixtures seeing 3 goals or less. An opening fixture with all the makings for a low-event match.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿Brentford scored 17 goals across their final 4 friendlies and although pre-season results should be taken with a pinch of salt, that level of attacking output is difficult to completely disregard. As for Tottenham's, their summer recruitment has been extraordinary, breaking their transfer record twice within the space of a few days & completely reshaping their midfield. De Zerbi has now had time to implement his unique philosophy and we expect a ‘bounce’ from Tottenham early into this season. Brentford renowned for their home form & have been finding the back of the net in pre-season whilst Tottenham start the campaign with higher expectations now & an exciting squad implementing De Zerbi’s dynamic that is awkward for opponents to nullify. This has all the makings of a great game of football.

🇪🇺 Tonight we look to cash our 5th consecutive Bodo/Glimt game as they seek to get over the line & establish UCL football once again this year after an historical campaign last season. After a 6-5 aggregate score against Union Saint Gilloise in the last round, Bodo are well poised on home soil this evening, holding a 3-1 aggregate lead over NEC. We know what we’re going to get with Bodo, especially at home, on their artificial surface. Explosive, Penetrative, high combination football. NEC are a side we targeted a lot last season due to their high-risk, expansive approach that saw them attain an 82% BTTS hit rate, the highest in the Eredivisie as they went on to finish 3rd in the league. Chasing a 2-goal deficit, they know they have to come out & attack this game which should make for a really entertaining game of football between two high-risk, high scoring teams. BTTS & O2.5 stands out considering a 1-1 level scoreline will do nothing for NEC here& with Bodo deploying a relatively one dimensional relentless approach, it’s hard to envision them sitting back for a draw which would in turn fall into NEC’s hands & the way they can manipulate opposition blocks with rotations. All in all, a stand out fixture for goals at both ends & an attractive price all things considered.

🇸🇪 We head to Sweden for a match-up between the sides ranked 1st & 2nd for the ‘Over 9.5 Total Corners’ metric. This is one of the stronger statistical corner matchups on the card, with both teams producing remarkably similar numbers this season. Both Oster and GIF Sundsvall have recorded 10+ match corners in 14/19 league fixtures, meaning that higher corner totals than the line we are opting for tonight have landed in roughly 74% of matches for both sides. GIF Sundsvall's away numbers are particularly notable, with 8/9 away fixtures producing at least 10 corners. Oster, meanwhile, are involved in the highest corner-producing matches in the Superettan, averaging 11.37 total corners per game. The reverse fixture only two months ago reinforces those numbers. Despite Oster winning comfortably 4-0, which drains competitiveness, the game still generated 12 Total corners. This meeting is expected to be considerably more competitive, which could actually benefit the corner count. With neither side expected to control the game state, the existing season-long numbers make 9 or more match corners a very achievable line. Arguably the best match-up in the division for this angle.
