What's L1 and L2 in Cryptocurrency

Let’s break it down in a simple way.

L1 (Layer 1) – The Main Blockchain

Think of Layer 1 (L1) as the foundation of a house. It’s the main blockchain where transactions and smart contracts are processed directly.

Examples of L1 blockchains:

✓ Bitcoin (BTC)
✓ Ethereum (ETH)
✓ BNB Chain
✓ Solana (SOL)
✓ TON e.t.c.

These blockchains handle everything on their own, but sometimes they get slow and expensive when too many people use them. That’s where L2 solutions come in.

L2 (Layer 2) – The Fast Track

Now, imagine a highway with too much traffic (L1). Layer 2 (L2) is like an express lane that helps reduce congestion, making transactions faster and cheaper while still relying on L1 for security.

Examples of L2 blockchains:

✓ Arbitrum (L2 for Ethereum)
✓ Optimism (L2 for Ethereum)
✓ Base (L2 for Ethereum)
✓ Lightning Network (L2 for Bitcoin)

These L2 networks process transactions off-chain and later settle them on the main blockchain (L1). This reduces fees and speeds up transactions.

L1 blockchains are secure but can be slow and expensive. L2 solutions help by making transactions cheaper and faster while still benefiting from the security of L1.

So, next time you see "L1" and "L2" in crypto, just remember:
L1 = Main blockchain (secure but sometimes slow/expensive)
L2 = Helper network (faster & cheaper, but relies on L1 for security)

Capital: $220 or more

● Convert your $210 USDT to USDC
● Convert $5 to SUI

● Send the usdc to your binance wallet. Send it via USDC-SUI chain (i.e USDC under sui chain)
●Send the Sui to your binance wallet also

●Open your binance wallet, click on Market》Click on "Alpha" at the top》scroll to "Sui" and select any trading pair from the competition.
