PART 2: "What's one thing that separates successful entrepreneurs from failed ones?" A visible VALUE SKEW was the 1st.
But a profitable business and a biz that puts you in the 1% are two different things!
You need the 2nd part of the formula: The answer is MATH, namely Asymmetric Returns.
Can you scale your value to thousands? Millions? IMO, SKEW and GOOD MATH are the TWO critical ingredients!

Another Commandment of Control lesson in the news: OnlyFans changed its Terms of Service to disallow certain "content": as such, 1000s of well-paid content providers went from a big income to nothing. Still, the owners of OnlyFans, who are also subject to the Control Commandment, probably made enough bank over the years to ride off into the sunset, đ´ đĨī¸ regardless of outcome.

As u get this text, I am probably in the middle of Utah with no cell service. But with technology, you can work, while not working. Likewise, technology has allowed ordinary Joes/Janes like u & I to learn anything as long we're disciplined. Sadly, few are. Vast infinite knowledge is at your disposal. IOW, nothing should stop you from living the life u want. Be steady-- and it won't be slow.

Context matters for EVERYTHING. You got a 7% raise at your job and you're happy. Later you learned everyone else got 15%. Now you're angry. The same type of "positioning" and "context" matters for products/services via branding. Have an estate sale with identical items in a $5M house VS one that is $500K. The same items in the more costly house will sell for a lot more!! CONTEXT! Have great week! MJ

My best business progress was always made on the weekends. While everyone was partying, I was working my Fastlane. For some reason, I found weekend work more productive and "feedback loop" producing. I left relaxation for the weekdays, while everyone was working. This "reversal of the days" also reminded me that "freedom" was my goal. Don't fear weekend work or weekday leisure. -MJ

Dismiss the coaches/experts who don't embody their claims. Unlike a good tennis/golf coach where genetics/injuries+other factors can stymie real world results, wealth & fitness has real world, 100% accountability. đĒđĒ

"Tell me what to do! Give me the roadmap! I want a recipe!" The fact is, most people could be given the EXACT STEPS to succeed as an entrepreneur and 95% of them wouldn't follow those steps. Instead, they'd complain about it those steps being "too hard" or "not guaranteed" or "it doesn't work in my city" as if no money (or value) is exchanged where they live. Change your mind, or change nothing.

Another must read: The Surrender Experiment by Michael Singer which is about his journey "surrendering" to whatever life throws at him. Don't let title fool you: It is entrepreneurial as Singer starts multiple companies with great success. I've been mindfully practicing "surrender" since I read the book: I'm quite impressed with how things are unfolding. Stories to come on the forum soon...

As many of you know, I recently moved from Arizona to Utah, which had me neglecting my email for a few weeks. Upon review of those backlogged emails, it reminded me that winning a life unlike 99.3% of the rest of the world is like winning a rigged carnival game. Yes it is hard, but if you know thy enemy, you can defeat thy enemy--and the enemy is closer than you think.

I need to hire a new lawyer. Called one on Tues and left a voicemail, stressing urgency. To date, my call hasn't been returned. When (if?) I hear back, I will NOT be hiring this lawyer, despite a slick website and good reviews. Lesson: Negative skew = deal-killers that force buyers to other businesses. Fix neg skew = more $. Not calling me back in 5 days? Nope, next! đ Have great weekend! đ-MJ

It only takes a MINOR shift in perspective to make a MAJOR shift in a lifetime. Never underestimate the power of paradigm shift and what it can mean in 1, 5, 10, or 30 years. You're the CEO of your life. You're the leading role in the movie. In the Great Rat Race Escape I mentioned looking at life like a video game. Grab that joystick đšī¸ đŽ and play to win! ~MJ đĒ

https://bit.ly/3oKZMQs - Beware of unintended consequences as you make life/biz decisions, the effects of a choice as it is practiced in reality, as opposed to theory. My experience at Bank of America is a perfect example (the link posted) of a decision with good intentions that only delivered disastrous results- the exact opposite of its goal. Have a fantastic weekend! đ ~MJ

What you are doing, even though it might seem meaningless, DOES matter. KAIZEN as a life philosophy works. I say this cuz I've read a lot of texts from Unplugged Unscriptees who are focusing on daily improvement with their skills and mindset while also working menial jobs. Trust the process. Trust Kaizen. Despite some bill-paying job, your effort will eventually compound into great things!

It's an excellent story which reads like a Fastlane case study reflecting many of the things I've been preaching for the last 10yrs. Yes you can create a profitable biz FAST and w/o investors. Yes you don't need to reinvent the wheel or disrupt. So much more... enjoy!

Muhammad Ali said, "I hated every minute of training", but followed with, "Don't quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion." The road to a great life involves suffering & other tedious grinds. Don't buy into culture's BS, that a great life can be won with shortcuts, hacks, and passionate work. I was willing to "do what I hate" so I can live the rest of my life like a champ.

If u missed the post about 0 users to 10M, the CEO mentioned that "customer service is the new marketing." Couldn't agree more. All biz likes to say, "We provide superior customer service" but few do, like less than 5%. Remember that lawyer I messaged some weeks ago? Still no call back despite some BS about "your call is important to me" - great CS can make an average product/service, great.

A forum user recently said something poignant. "Don't ask a butterfly how to crawl." In wealth terms, you need crawling advice, not flying advice. Advice from a small biz multimillionaire (0 to 10M) might be better advice than wisdom from a billionaire, a guy/gal who hasn't needed to crawl in decades. When you're ready for 9- and 10-figures, perhaps it's time for the billionaire advice. đ¤

I talk a lot about asymmetry for Fastlane returns. I got started w/$900, that biz investment made millions. However what needs more urgent attention is not mathematical asymmetry, but decisional asymmetry, or what I call Downside Asymmetrical Risk Events: 1 bad choice can erase 1000s of good ones. Think DUI, fraud or Jon Gruden blunders. Identify DARE choices & u can save your life from ruin. And perhaps others.

At 16, Chuck Norris was hired as a grocery bagger. After 1 day, he was fired for poor work. Afterward, he convinced his boss for 1 more day, a chance to improve & get better. He did. Today he admits this experience changed his life. It made him realize, "If you want to accomplish anything in life, you can't just sit back and hope it will happen. You've got to make it happen." Fight for yourself! đĒđđđ

On Oct 26, I messaged the group about Downside Asymmetric Risk Events. If you don't know, there is a story behind that text and it is posted on the forum complete with a GoFundMe for the victim of such a D.A.R.E.
