Gauri Laxmi, a one-and-a-half year old child from Shornur, Palakkad, Kerala, India was fighting 2nd stage of a rare disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. A single dose of the drug for performing gene therapy costs Rs 16 crore.
It can affect nerves, muscles, and even bones if not treated immediately. The treatment should be done within two years old. After that, there is only time until this May, treatment should be taken before May. Let each of us join hands to find such a large sum. Gauri Laxmi can be seen growing up laughing.
