A girl who was abducted by two men when she was 11 and sexually assaulted, after thinking they were going to help her, has told a court she still has nightmares and flashbacks at what they did.

Hamza Sharif, 36, met the child in Birmingham after she ran away from home, invited her to a house where he and Sadak Ali offered her drugs.

When she refused, Ali, 28, asked her "invasive" sexual questions and sexually assaulted her.

The pair were jailed on Thursday at Birmingham Crown Court with the judge saying they "isolated a vulnerable child for a significant amount of time".

Sharif, 36, from Birmingham, was jailed for five years for child abduction after the judge told the court he was "the driving force in the abduction".

Ali, 28, also from Birmingham, was sentenced to seven years on a concurrent jail sentence after being found guilty of both detaining a child after keeping them under unlawful control and assault by touching a child under the age of 13.

As well as the custodial sentence, Ali will be placed
