A Deliveroo worker has been jailed for 21 years after raping a woman he found semi-conscious at a bus stop.

Algerian Salem Rekoub was working whilst on a tourist visa, 28, he dragged the woman, who is in her 40s, down a side street by her arms and repeatedly raped her in an attack lasting 17 minutes.

After giving police a fake name, he followed the ambulance to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, where he continued to look for his victim in order to try and rape her again.

Staff confronted him and he then left before he was arrested by Met Police 9 days later.

European Leaders and NATO say that Russia is planning on striking them.

President Putin of Russia has this weekend released a statement in response saying:

“We don’t want to fight you, we want to cooperate with you. Russia has no aggressive intentions toward Europe or European countries.

Lib Dem Leader Ed Davey has called for Andy Burnham to create an "emergency register" for civilians to voluntarily sign up if war breaks out.

An Aberystwyth University student who downloaded child sexual abuse and bestiality photos and videos from the dark web has been given ZERO Prison Time.

The 22-year-old pleaded guilty to making a total of 79 indecent images of children in Aberystwyth between 6 September 2022 and 18 December 2024, including 45 of the most serious category A.

Chikwezvero also pleaded guilty to possession of 36 extreme pornographic images of animals and possession of a prohibited image of a child, both in Aberystwyth on 17 December 2024.

Dean Pulling, for Chikwezvero, described the defendant as a "self-effacing young man who is deeply remorseful".

The Judge Mark Powell said that the defendant's offending had jeopardised his potential career and had brought "significant embarrassment" to his family but said a custodial sentence was not necessary.
