Two live-in carers who stole from a wheelchair-bound grieving widow have been jailed - and could now face deportation.
Sharon Kasuto and Uaepa Mbunga defrauded the 83-year-old woman they were paid to look after at her home in Redruth, Cornwall.
Over a six-week period they used her bank cards to steal £5,400.
Truro Crown Court heard the victim was wheelchair-bound after a fall, and her husband died during the period the two carers were employed.

A magistrate has been disciplined after he took a knife in his bag to court.
Agboola Obanubi, who sits at courts in South Essex, faced misconduct proceedings over the incident which happened when he turned up to court for a training day.
A "camping-style folding knife" was found in a compartment of his bag as he passed through the court's security checks at the front entrance, the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office (JCIO) said.

Four schools have said they will close early on Friday amid safety concerns over a funeral linked to a crash which killed seven people.
It is understood the funeral of Jakub Matusiak, 23, one of five young men killed in the head-on collision with a marked police car on the A66, is due to take place in Middlesbrough.
The crash happened near South Bank on 22 August when a Volkswagen Passat travelled the wrong way on the dual carriageway and hit a police car. Two police officers in the vehicle, PC Matthew Blades, 37, and PC Tom Clough, 38, were also killed.
Head teachers warned parents large crowds were expected to gather in the South Bank area for the funeral, with traffic disruption likely.

Kelcie Reed, 24, of Bristol, previously admitted being in charge of a dog dangerously out control, causing the death of Morgan Dorsett.
The 19-year-old, from Shrewsbury, died from neck injuries caused by the attack, which happened at Reed's flat in south Bristol in February 2025.
At Bristol Crown Court, Judge Anna Richardson sentenced Reed to 18 weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months.

A man who died after plunging into a canal while being chased by police at the Notting Hill Carnival has been named and pictured for the first time.
Police had attempted to stop Karnell Kelly, 25, on Monday during the final day of the carnival.
He was chased and entered the Grand Union Canal at Meanwhile Gardens.

Marc Corrieri, 33, groomed a string of teenagers over a six-year period after making contact through social media apps.
He repeatedly sent sexual messages to girls aged between 13 and 17 and asked for indecent pictures and videos of them with their boyfriends.
Corrieri, of Motherwell who stands at 4ft 2in, paid one girl £150 and another £40 to send images of themselves in states of undress to him.
Sentence on Corrieri was deferred until next month for background reports and he was remanded in custody.
His rules for the parties included no picking up or throwing him, no tampering with his drink, not saying ‘midget’ and no police involvement.
