A 'transgender israeli computer engineer' detained by ICE following kidnapping charges in New Hampshire has been released on bail.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) posted that Alon, a former IDF intelligence technology specialist and convicted kidnapper, was arrested during raids in New Hampshire.

The post referred to Alon by his birth name, Avishay.

He argued that his incarceration in a men's prison and the treatment he received violated his rights.

Organisers of a Christian festival say they are devastated after a sign fell at their event and injured seven people, with one man dying at the scene.
