Labour 'Border Security Minister Anna Turley MP is facing calls to resign after paying her 'respects' to all seven victims of the A66 Car Crash, which was in her constituency.
She wrote on Facebook on Sunday:
“This morning I went down to South Bank to lay flowers and pay my respects, on behalf of our whole community, to the seven people whose lives were so tragically cut short yesterday.
“There really are no words for the heartbreak their families, friends and loved ones will be feeling today. May you all rest in peace.”

A house rammed by a car before the fatal A66 crash in Middlesbrough belonged to the father of a teenager who died in the incident.
Cole Worthy, 17, was one of five young men who died when a Volkswagen Passat travelling in the wrong direction hit a Cleveland Police armed response vehicle, also killing two police officers.
Before the crash at 03:39 BST on Saturday, police had received multiple reports of two cars driving dangerously around the town and a Volvo XC60 was seen ramming properties.
After his father's home was rammed, Worthy and the four others set out in the Passat. Police said they were linking the activities of the Volvo XC60 and the Passat.

A prominent Youtuber has been found guilty of domestic abuse against a former partner while she was pregnant.
James English, 43, repeatedly attacked the woman - a model and influencer - at a flat in Glasgow and elsewhere between July 2022 and November 2023.
In one incident English grabbed his victim by the neck and pinned her against a door.
He later pressed his thumbs into her eyebrows which caused redness.
Other violent incidents included pulling the woman by the hair which caused her to lose her balance, and on another occasion, slapped her on the face causing redness.

A Candy shop in Leicestershire right next door to the constituency office of a Tory MP, Alberto Costa, has had its licence to sell alcohol revoked due to links with people smuggling and selling alcohol to underage girls and boys.
An investigation traced Twana Jamal Khdir, once described as "the godfather" of the French migrant camps, to Blaby where reporters witnessed him working illegally in two shops in the village.
He has been remanded in custody and will next appear at Leicester Crown Court on 5 October.
Khdir was given a five-year jail sentence in France in 2016, where authorities described him as one of the most successful people smugglers ever caught.
Prosecutors said the Iraqi Kurd, aged 36 at the time, had earned up to £100,000 a week for moving illegal immigrants across the Channel.
