This is Sholam Weiss.

In 2000, Weiss was sentenced to 845 years in prison for racketeering, wire fraud, money laundering, and other charges in connection to the collapse of the National Heritage Life Insurance Company.

He and other defendants engaged in an immense scheme that siphoned off $450 million from the company, resulting in what was believed to be the largest insurance company failure ever caused by criminal acts.

His sentence was commuted by President Donald Trump on January 19, 2021. Weiss was released the next day.

Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin was convicted for fraud as the CEO of Agriprocessors, a now-bankrupt kosher slaughterhouse and meat packing plant in Postville, Iowa, formerly owned by his father, Aaron Rubashkin.

During his time as CEO of the plant, Agriprocessors grew into one of the nation's largest kosher meat producers, but was also cited for issues involving animal cruelty, food safety, environmental safety, child labor, and hiring undocumented immigrants.

In November 2009, Rubashkin was convicted of 86 counts of financial fraud, including bank fraud, mail and wire fraud and money laundering. In June 2010, he was sentenced to 27 years in prison for his crimes.

On December 20, 2017, asserting a large bipartisan push for the measure, President Donald Trump commuted Rubashkin's prison sentence after eight years served.

This is Eliyahu Weinstein from Lakewood, NJ. He was convicted and sentenced to 24 years in prison for a real estate Ponzi scheme he ran, and another two years for an investment fraud plot, where he falsely claimed to investors that he controlled blocks of Facebook stock during the social media giant’s public offering in 2012.

Weinstein’s Ponzi scheme cost investors some $200 million. According to the White House, his pardon was sought by Alan Dershowitz and the Tzedek Association, which advocates prison reform.

On the 19 January 2021, the day before leaving office during his first term, Trump commuted Weinstein’s term to time served after less than eight years into his sentence.
