An 'aspiring rapper' who owned an XL bully that mauled a grandmother has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Ashley Warren, 41, was found guilty of owning or being in charge of two XL bully dogs that killed Esther Martin, 68, in Jaywick, Essex, on 3 February 2024.
Warren also pleaded guilty to two additional charges of owning a dangerous dog at Chelmsford Crown Court on Tuesday.
Warren's trial had heard that he had asked Ms Martin to look after the two dogs, named Beauty and Bear, and eight puppies of the same breed at his home on Hillman Avenue, so that he could travel to London to film a music video.
