A Roma gypsy rooming gang from Romania led by a "winking, smirking pimp" have been jailed for raping and sexually abusing 10 women in flats across Dundee.
The four men and one woman plied their victims - aged between 16 and 30 - with drugs at various properties between 2021 and 2022.
Ringleader Marian Cumpanasoiu, 38, along with Remus Stan, 35, Cristian Urlateanu, 41, Catalin Dobre, 45, and Alexandra Bugonea, 35, were previously convicted of 30 charges at the High Court in Glasgow.
Cumpanasoiu was sentenced to 24 years, Urlateanu to 20 years, Stan to 12 years, Dobre to 10 years and Bugonea to eight years.

A Border Force officer has been charged with conspiring to import class A drugs after 25kg of heroin was found in a suitcase.
Syed Shah, 39, of Hodge Hill, was arrested at Birmingham Airport on 24 October and will appear at a court in the city today.
The National Crime Agency said the drugs were in a case belonging to Zahida Perveen, 67, from Manchester, who had just arrived on a flight from Pakistan.

A second home owner returning to his property in St Ives was shocked to discover an asylum seeker cooking food in his kitchen.
Saidahmed-Hamid Ghalem, age 28, of Victoria Dock Road, London, pleaded guilty to criminal damage and trespass following the encounter at Skidden Gardens, Skidden Hill.
He pleaded guilty to criminal damage under £5,000 and to knowingly living in a residential building as a trespasser. He was ordered to pay £1,000 in compensation to pay for the damaged rug and given a restraining order banning him from entering Skidden Hill until October 21, 2026.
No costs or surcharge were imposed due to lack of means, but Ghalem must pay the compensation in £40 monthly instalments starting next month.
Speaking through an interpreter, he told the court he would be able to pay once the Home Office issued him a Mastercard credit card and work permit. He was given 28 days to begin payments.
The court heard Ghalem has 11 previous convictions for 21 offences between June 2024 and July 2025.
