Before continuing his plan Black makes a few prophylactic moves in order to neutralize White's Nf6+ idea.

Or 4.Ng3 Bxg3! , followed by ...Ne5.

Thus Black avoids a fork on f5 before completing the knight maneuver.

With better placed pieces and a strong passed pawn, Black has a clear advantage.

By attacking the h7-pawn, the knight gets to d6 with tempo.

After 2...Nxe5? 3.Nd6 White wins a piece.

Thanks to his powerful knight on d6 White is clearly better.
