Morozevich reached World #2 on the FIDE rating list in 2008. Yurkov, a noted trainer, also numbered Yuri Balashov, Yuri Razuvaev & Andrei Sokolov among his pupils.

Leningrad, 1975. That's GM Bagirov in the middle with the hypnotic tie. He was the captain of the Baku youth team I led in the Pioneers vs GMs simuls, including my first game vs Karpov.
