⚪️ #50 (Strategy - White To Move)
🔸Anand – Kamsky
🔸Las Palmas cm f(9) 1995
📕 #50
1.Nd1!!+/-
Anand: " This move really kills black. It stops Ng5 and strikes at b5"
We can complete Anand's note by adding that Nd1 makes e5 more feasible by opening the rook. Note that Anand prefers Nd1 to Nc2 as he believes that his knight on c3 will be more effective than Nb4, which has actually immobilized black's own pawn majority on the queenside.

📘 13...Qd7!
Forcing white to trade the queens, for instance if: 14.Qc2 Q.d5 or 14.Qd1 b6, Black reaches the balance.

📘 7.Qf3!?
A new and interesting idea which many of top players such as Grischuk, Caruana, Nepo, Radjabov have empoyed it. Karjakin has also defeated Giri with this line.
The idea behind the move is: castling queenside and transferring the white queen to active g3 square.
