4.Bd2 Bh6 5.Bxh6 Kxh6 6.Bh3 Qg7 7.Qe2 Qe7 8.Be6! Rh8 9.Rc3
Sending more pieces to the kingside, where Black can't defend himself easily due to the lack of space.
9...Kg7 10.Rg1! Rh6 11.g4! hxg4 12.Rxg4 Kf8 13.Qg2 Qh7 14.Rh3 Ra8 15.Kg1 Ke7 16.Rc3!
This intermediate move leaves Black unable to defend both flanks. There followed:
16...Ne8 17.Rcg3 Rxh4 18.Rxg6
with the decisive threat of 19 Rg7+.

Black to move
Initiating a typical minority attack.
2.g4 a5 3.Qd1?!
3.a3 b4 4.axb4 axb4 5.Qd1 was a lesser evil, getting rid of the potentially weak a-pawn.
3...b4 4.h4 a4 5.Nb1?
An ugly place for the knight.
5.cxb4 Bxb4 6.Bxf6 gxf6 7.h5 offered more resistance.
5...Ne4 6.f3 Nd6 7.Bg3 Rfb8
Now White is doomed on the queenside.
