Happy 85th birthday to the legendary tenth world chess champion and two-time Soviet champion, Boris Spassky! 🏆🎉

The 10th World Champion, Boris Spassky, was born on this day in 1937.

He won the title by defeating Tigran Petrosian on his second attempt (Moscow 1969), after a failed challenge in 1966, but conceded it to Bobby Fischer three years later. He is the oldest living World Champion.
