Abdumalik Shines In Gibraltar; Lagno, Koneru Reach Candidates

IM Zhansaya Abdumalik played the tournament of her life in Gibraltar. The Kazakh player won the Women's Grand Prix with a round to spare and became a full-fledged grandmaster in the process!
The final standings in Gibraltar:
The #WomenGrandPrixFIDE final standings. Aleksandra Goryachkina (as the runner-up of the last world championship), Humpy Koneru, and Kateryna Lagno have qualified for the 2022 Women's Candidates so far. Five more spots will come from the World Cup, Grand Swiss and one by rating.
Congratulations to Zhansaya Abdumalik on winning the Gibraltar #WomenGrandPrixFIDE and making the GM title! ๐ŸŽ‰ What an incredible young woman she is, and I will be rooting for her at the World Cup! โ™Ÿ
