📕20.Ba3? is clearly weak in view of 20...Nb5!
20.e5 grabs some space on the kingside, but this move gives the black knight a nice central square on d5 and immobilizes white's mobile pawn center.
20.Bc1! is a strong move that increases white's advantage by activating the bishop by Bf4 or Bg5.

📕 After 1.f4 black can draw by a queen sacrifice!
21.f4? Qxg3+ 22.hxg3 Rxg3 23.Kh1 (23.Kh2 Ng4) 23...Rh3+=
21.Nxf5?? is too optimistic and black can start a winning attack by 21...Rf8. After Rf8 white has a hanging knight and three undeveloped pieces, while black is launching a decisive attack by all forces.
21.Ra2! to develop a piece and defend the kingside, along with a few more exact moves gave Kramnik the upper hand.

📘 Black's problem is clearly a mislocated bishop on g6.
14...Ne8! 15.Nf5 Bg5!
Exchanging the bad bishop and preparing to increase control over dark squares by Ne8-c7-e6. By moving the knight from f6 black can activate Bg6 by f6 and Bf7 in future.

An inaccuracy from an international master against a talented 13 years old player, Mahan.

📘 43.Bg3? Rd7? 44.Bf2=
As you can see in the following comments from GM Elshan Moradiabadi, after 43.Bg3? Black had a winning opportunity:

Black could win with 😏

47...c5!! 48.bxc5 [48.Bf2 d4! 49.cxd4 cxb4 Black king blocks white's central mass while the b-pawns decide the game.]

48...d4 49.cxd4 [49.Be1 dxc3 50.Bxc3 Rd7 And now the black's rook invade white's position. The game is practically over for white. 51.Kf2 Rd3 52.Be1 Rd5 53.Bb4 Rd4–+]

49...Rd7 50.Bf2 [50.Kf2 Rxd4 51.Ke3 Rc4 And the b-pawn decides]

50...b4 51.c6 Rc7 52.f5+ gxf5 53.gxf5+ Kd5!! [Blockade is more important than material]

[53...Kxf5?? 54.d5! Kxe5 55.Bg3+ Kxd5 56.Bxc7 b3 57.Bd8 Kxc6 58.Bf6 Kb5=]

54.Be1 b3 55.Bc3 Rxc6 56.Ba1 Rc1 57.f6 Rc2+ 58.Kf3 b2 59.Bxb2 Rxb2 60.f7 Rb8–+
