📕 #77
It is evident that d6 is an ideal square for black's knight. But instead of Nb7, Anand played 17...Qd6!! to force white to play c4, so that he could attack it after maneuvering the knight to d6.

📗12...Rae8
A rare move. This move had a great come back to top level chess recently.
📗13.Bf4N
This move makes more sense compared to other two moves tried in this position.
📗25.Qxc2?
Incredible decision by Li Chao! Now it is only white who can play for a win.
📗It is true that black has rook and bishop combination but white's control of c-file and central pawns are more decisive factor.
📗31.Nd2 Karpov would have played g4 and Rb5 without so much thinking! 31.g4 Bc7 32.Rb5 b6 33.h4 Re8 34.e4 and white's advantage looks to grow rapidly.
