⚪️#74 (Strategy-White to Move)
🔸Nimzowitsch,Aron - Salwe,Georg
🔸International Masters Karlsbad 1911
📕 #74

One of the most important concepts that have been deeply discussed by Nimzowitsch is blockade. White manages to blockade his opponent's pawns by establishing his pieces on the d4 and e5 squares just in front of black's central pawns.

📘 41...Kh8??
In a superior but complicated position with a piece up, the Argentinian grandmaster made a blunder. He could protect his king by playing 41...Bg6 42.Nf5 Kh8!.

📘 8...Bf5?
Black should have castled before playing this move.
9.Bxf5 gxf5 10.Nh4! Qd7 (10...e6 11.Nxf5) 11.Qf3 and there is no way for black to save the f pawn.
