Unfortunately, our last hope, Wesley So lost to Ding Liren in semi-final of the world cup. That being said, this makes Ding Liren the first Chinese man ever qualifying for the world championship candidate! On a good note also, Wesley can still qualify through yearly rating ranking. We also have Fabiano Caruana who happens to be leading the candidate rating list!
Right now is happening: Aronian is playing the first game of blitz games against MVL ( Maxim Vachier Lagrave). The Armenian is in complete control and has good advantage! Follow the games online on chessbomb.com or other available online streaming websites!
A nerve-wrecking draw! Aronian was winning then he blundered and MVL was then totally winning but time pressure once again took its toll and squared matters among these two chess giants. Is it going to be the last game of the match or we might see an Armageddon soon?!
Thorough analyses would come right after the match is over!

πŸ“•1...a4! It suddenly turns out that after the unavoidable 13...Ra5, White loses his e5 pawn.
