Preparing b4-b5 to soften up the long diagonal for the bishop on g2.
1...Bxc4?!
1...Ne4 was preferable, although after 2.Nxe4 fxe4 3.Nxe6 Qe6 4.Qc2 Rfe8 5.Be3 Nc7 6.Rfd1 White is better thanks to his bishop pair.
2.b5 cxb5 3.Ndxb5 Rd8 4.Ba3
One more piece into play.
4...d5 5.Nd6! Again White prefers activity over material.
5...Qe5 6.Nxc4 dxc4 7.Qc2 Nc5 8.Na4! b6 9.Nxc5 bxc5 10.Qc4+
With a huge advantage

2.exd5 e4! the bishop on g7 wakes up and a passed pawn appears on the e-file.
2...Bf6!
Intending ...Bd8, ...c7-c6 and ...Bb6(+) in order to activate the bishop.
3.Qg3 c6 4.Bb3 Bd8! 5.Qd3 Bb6+ 6.Kh1
6.Be3 straight away was preferable.
6...Qg4! 7.Be3
7.Qxd6 Rf2 8.Rg1 Qxg2! with mate.
7...Bxe3 8.Qxe3 Rf4
With the double idea of 9...Nxe4 and 9...Ref8. Black is clearly better – Beliavsky.
