Dubai will host the next FIDE World Chess Championship. Magnus Carlsen of Norway to defend his title against Ian Nepomniachtchi of Russia. The two players will compete for a prize fund of around AED 9 million.

Indian chess Grandmaster Viswanathan Anand will be an official commentator for the FIDE World Chess Championship match between Magnus Carlsen and Ian Nepomniachtchi.
