๐ Garry Kasparov (@Kasparov63): From round 1 of the 1977 Cadet World Championship in Cagnes sur mer, France. I won this long Exchange Ruy Lopez game. But I didn't win this under-17 tournament, the only such title that escaped me! โโโโโโโโโโโ ๐ Sรธren Plovgaardโฆ

I had a brief exchange with Nepomniachtchi about this photo. It was taken in Tula in 1998, after a simul exhibition.
Karpov offered a draw at some point in the game, but it was so crowded that Nepo didn't hear him. So Karpov went on and defeated him after 3,5 hours.
