Kosteniuk was also the 2004 European women's champion & a 2-time Russian Women's. She won team Gold medal playing for Russia at 3 Chess Olympiads, 5 European, and the 2017 World Team Championship.

Also known as Kosteniuk is a former women's world champion and as we speak she is LIVE commenting on the #FIDECandidates with Sergey Karyakin, Evgeny Tomashevsky, and Kateryna Lagno!

I had a brief exchange with Nepomniachtchi about this photo. It was taken in Tula in 1998, after a simul exhibition.

Karpov offered a draw at some point in the game, but it was so crowded that Nepo didn't hear him. So Karpov went on and defeated him after 3,5 hours.
