Happy 27th Birthday to Hou Yifan, the four-time Women's World Chess Champion (2010, 2011, 2013, 2016)! Her highest live rating was 2687.5 (May, 2015).
She is widely considered to be the second-strongest female chess player in history (behind Judit Polgar). Among her top accomplishments are four Women’s World Championship titles and winning Biel 2017!
Hou Yifan became a grandmaster at 14 years old and was the youngest-ever to win the Women's World Chess Championship at 16.

She played this game against Ray Robson when she was just 10. Can you find how she finished it? Black to play. #YourMove

The great Garry Kasparov playing chess simuls in Alcoy (Spain) on February 1, 1986, less than 3 months after becoming World Champion. I was there. Do you remember Kasparov?

Nice pic, classic local photog focusing on the audience and not on Garry ;-) I don't think many of the 32 games from this one are out there. El Pais had it at 25 wins, 6 draws, 1 loss to "local youth Chimo Corbi."
The first essential for an attack is the will to attack.
