Congrats to Levon Babujian (2440) on winning the 1st League of the 81st Armenian Championship. Alongside Tigran Harutyunian (2549) and Mamikon Gharibyan(2432), he qualified for the highest league and a chance to play on the Armenian team. #chessnews

Yuri Averbakh, the world's oldest grandmaster, turns 99 today!

Until recently, he was still visiting the central chess club in Moscow and took an active part in the work of Chess Federation of Russia chess museum.
