Another coincidence, several posted about yesterday's 22nd anniversary of my famous game vs Topalov in Wijk aan Zee in 1999. It was Kavalek who first discovered a beautiful improvement on the game in his column. (28.Ra7!) Back before computers could see everything in 10 seconds!

Here's a sight you don't get to see often during a chess tournament. Alireza Firouzja and Jorden van Foreest are moving to another table. It's a very windy day in the Netherlands and their board was closest to the noise.

Vishy Anand [on Alireza Firouzja]: "He's an amazing player. He shows his level occasionally...and he's trappy. He does complicated stuff, he does simple stuff. I think he's developing very well. I've a feeling he's making progress constantly..." https://cutt.ly/zjGuho5
