Magnus Carlsen was the highest-earning #esports player from prize money in 2020, according to research from esports betting site Unikrn.

The chess world champion took home $510,587, higher than any other pro gamer from the likes of DOTA 2, CS:GO or League of Legends.

The next five spots in the top-earners list are occupied by Call of Duty players with James Eubanks being 2nd after Carlsen with $383,325 in prizes.

Carlsen is not the only chess player on the list. Hikaru Nakamura is placed number 7 ($324,645), Wesley So number 12 ($246,180).
