Tallinn, 2nd May 1969. Paul Keres is pictured in play v. Heikki Westerinen on top board of the traditional match between Estonia & Finland. Keres won this game in 50 moves.
The Estonians won the 2-round match 15:7.

The first game "The Great and Terrible Harry" lost to Boris in the USSR Championship in 1981. The next year, another game in the USSR Cup. Then in Linares ... It was not possible to recover completely. Boris Gulko is the champion of the USSR and the USA!

GM Michael Adams wins the Caplin British Online Chess Championship. πŸ† It is his 8th national title (he won the first in 1989!).

England's #1 beat IM Ameet Ghasi in a playoff for the title after both scored 7 out of 9 in the main event.
