People (men watching) couldnโ€™t believe a 12 year old girl could sacrifice material & almost beat Tal (classical & blitz world champion) in our first ever blitz game (in Russia). The game ended in a draw as he found incredible game saving ideas. He gave me great advice after! ๐Ÿ‘‘

The 1980 Olympics were difficult for the USSR national team. The Hungarian team was ahead for a long time. In the 11th round, they managed to beat the USA with great difficulty. The victory was brought by the youngest member of the team who defeated Leonid Shamkovich.

It was a great fight today from Anish Giri, but not quite enough! There's plenty of time to hit back, as this is just the beginning - the Champions Chess Tour action continues for a full season until September 2021 ๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿฟ
