Another cute one - before passing to some serious FIDE news. You recognize two players, right?

Move of the Day!
FIDE has decided to postpone the 2020 edition of the World Rapid and Blitz Championship. We will do our best to make it happen in spring 2021.

Congratulations to World Champion Magnus Carlsen on winning Altibox Norway Chess with a round to spare after beating Alireza Firouzja!
Being low on time can really play tricks with one's positional judgment. Alireza Firouzja played 69. Kc3 and resigned after natural 69...Kc5, handing Carlsen a tournament win.

But can you find which move makes a draw? (Hint: think of the distant opposition)

Simply STUNNING! This is how Firouzja lost to Carlsen, in classical chess, today in Norway! This is the type of position I teach much lower rated kids! Inexplicable! This is why you play everything out and not take premature draws. @FIDE_chess @WOMChess @EuropeEchecs @ECUonline
