Happy 33rd birthday to Teimour Radjabov! 🎊🎈🎉🎁🎂

2019 FIDE World Cup winner Teimour Radjabov will be sadly missed at the #FIDECandidates but his reasons for stepping out (i.e. the #coronavirus) are getting more understandable by the day...
The April, 1964 issue of Chess Life features some historic and contemporary Elo rating calculations by Arpad Élő.
This was his top ten for the period 1961-63.

Teimour Radjabov's first ever tournament win, aged 6, Czech Republic.

"Repeating moves in an ending can be very useful. Apart from the obvious gain of time on the clock one notices that the side with the advantage gains psychological benefit."

Move of the Day!
Dzagnidze and Goryachkina are sharing the lead and will face each other in the final round of the #WomenGrandPrixFIDE in Lausanne!

Late replacement Zhansaya Abdumalik is the only other player with chances of sharing first.
These two have just played a whole world championship match between each other! But today Aleksandra Goryachkina was stronger.

The first move in the game Goryachkina - Ju Wenjun was made by Grégoire Junod, Mayor of Lausanne.
