Game of the Day!
Game 3 of FIDE Women's World Championship Match 2020 ended in a hard fought draw
In a QGD Semi-Tarrasch variation, Goryachkina kept pushing for advantage and eventually got an extra pawn using tactics which was difficult for her to maintain in a Queen and Double Rook endgame as Ju defended perfectly. It liquidated into an equal Rook ending with Goryachkina regaining an extra pawn, but it was not enough to score a full point.
Ultimately a draw was agreed after 85 moves of long battle spanning almost four hours.
Game 4 will be played tomorrow
