An Armenian friend received this as change at the wet market yesterday: Tigran Petrosian on a dram banknote. The chess positions are references to games five and seven from the 1963 Botvinnik v Petrosian world title match.
FIDE and Ugra Chess Federation signed an agreement on World Cup 2019. It will be held in Khanty-Mansiysk from September 9th to October 4th.
