Enjoyable tennis game with Kieren James-Lubin, CEO of Blockapps, raised $62m, providing enterprise blockchain infrastructure. Love playing tennis, since I was 7.
Blockapps has a similar mission to Unit Network, bringing real world assets/businesses onto blockchain.
Kieren studied Math at Princeton, instrumental to Ethereum at launch in 2015, and helped set up the successful Ethereum Enterprise Alliance.
Kieren’s father Joseph is a long time friend. He’s the co-founder of Ethereum, and CEO of Consensys, which builds blockchain software like Metamask.
In 2017, at the first blockchain hackathon in Waterloo, Canada, Joseph was kind, to let me stay with him, and worked non-stop till 3am, up at 7am daily.
I had flown in from Thailand, after several months of Muay Thai/Kickboxing, arriving at midnight, hotel was overbooked.
Then, Joseph walked in, with limited options and exhausted, I asked if I could crash on his floor/couch, he arranged for an extra bed in the tiny room.
Think friends letting me stay with them, is why I’m always keen to host friends at my apartments.
The hackathon, ETHGlobal, set up by friend Liam Horne(Vitalik’s uni roommate), was key to grow ETH’s dev ecosystem. Liam founded OPStack too, powering all Ethereum L2 blockchains(e.g Base).
2017 was wild. Ethereum started below $8. Shot up to $1397 by year-end, crashing to $80 in 2018, after ICO mania.
Bitcoin started 2017 below $800, ended at $19.5k, dropping to $3k in 2018.
Price volatility of crypto is extreme, but it’s clear the industry is only getting bigger.
I’m convinced it’ll grow 1000 times. $100m per Bitcoin. Exciting times ahead!

Great meeting with Cathy Wood, CEO of Ark Invest, at the Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach.
Ark has managed over $50B with a peak in Feb 2021, early investor in disruptive tech and cutting edge firms like Tesla, Coinbase and Nvidia, predicting Bitcoin will go to $1 million and beyond.
We share a common bond over being of Irish descent, after she asked about my surname “Healy” and both have family in Dublin and Cork in Ireland and spent time there.
Both have a strong bullish sentiment on tokenisation and optimistic for the growth of the blockchain industry.

Fun dinner party at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach with two of the most influential people in the world, US president, Donald Trump and Tesla/Doge/Space X founder, Elon Musk, few tables away. Managed only to take a few videos given strict no filming/picture policy.
Quite incredible, that despite working non-stop, they made the time to have a 5 hour dinner till past midnight. US president Trump was DJ, using Spotify on his iPad throughout the night.
Trump lives between Mar-a-Lago and the White House in DC. I met his father in law, Viktor Knavs(First lady Melania’s dad) the following day too. Memberships at Mar-a-Lago are now up to $2m, up from $200k a decade ago, with a limited 500 member community.
Met Elon in Berlin, in April 2022, at a dinner hosted by my friend Sacha, for Elon’s college roommate, Adeo Ressi, 50th birthday, where I helped with curating the intimate guest list.
Then, went to the iconic Kitkat club after dinner, which was fun. The following week, he acquired Twitter for $44B. Think with the acquisition by xAI, will be a huge success.
Despite not being American, pleased with the US election due to the positive sentiment towards global crypto. Excited for the innovation of the US government with less bureaucracy and wastage.
Hope all governments can take the approach of being more lean, and focused on innovation, lower income/corporate taxes for individuals/businesses too.

Great meeting with Gianni Infantino, president of FIFA. He’s going to be launching the $FIFACOIN soon, with the intention to bring on board the 5 billion soccer fans globally, to the token economy.
Invited my father, Paul, to the 2022 World Cup in Doha, where we saw England lose in a close game to France, before playing an epic final against Argentina, led by Lionel Messi.
In 2010, my dad took me around South Africa to watch England play in the World Cup, visiting Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town.
The year prior(2009), I had bid on the FIFA ticket lottery, with my online poker profits, and surprised him when we won tickets.
We saw the huge upset, where Germany beat England(4-1), and the tournament later was won by Spain, led by Andrés Iniesta.
The FIFA Club World Cup in Miami is soon, from June 14 to July 13 2025, bringing together the top 32 football clubs from around the world.
Looking forward to the FIFA World Cup next year in 2026 in the United States.
Will share more on the Unit $FOOTBALLCOIN, which we will roll out in June 2025, as part of the Unit Network ecosystem coin launches.

Rest in peace, Nehemia. You left your mark on many lives. (1962 - 2025)
This photo was taken about six months ago — November 15th, 2024 — bumped into you by chance walking out of a restaurant on the streets of Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. I was only in town for a few days, and somehow our paths crossed again.
We first met nearly 5 or 6 years ago, back in 2019 or 2020, at my good friend Marek’s house in Berlin. You were in town visiting Gavin Wood, and spoke candidly about how you helped fund both Ethereum and Polkadot in their early days.
Since then, we’ve shared great moments in Zurich, Davos, St. Moritz, and NYC — and I always appreciated the Shabbat dinners you graciously invited me to.
It’s a real loss to see you go. I’ll never forget the wild stories you shared — from navigating business in pre-Soviet Russia to negotiating major deals with oligarchs in Africa.

Really fun poker game hosted by long-time friend, serial entrepreneur, and super investor Fabrice Grinda — who’s backed over 1,100 companies including Airbnb, Alibaba, and Palantir.
As always, the table was filled with top entrepreneurs and investors he brings together every quarter.
I first met Fabrice in Paris, when I was 18, at the Le Web Conference back in 2012, hosted my mutual friend Loic Le Meur. Fabrice was speaking about the sharing economy as a defining trend of the Web 2.0 era.
A couple of years later, while I was working with the Founders Forum in 2015, I remember him hosting an unforgettable after-party at his newly acquired NYC penthouse.
Now, a decade later, he’s selling it for $13M — complete with jaw-dropping views and an impressive art collection.
Fabrice also shared wild stories from his OLX days — the global classifieds giant he co-founded in 2006 and exited in 2014. The platform now generates over $3B in annual revenue.
He’s also recently become a father of two, and called it the best feeling in the world — even admitting he’s surprised by how much he enjoys it and looks forward to growing his family further.
As for the poker? A few lucky hands and I walked away with almost 3x my buy-in. Great cards, greater company.
Excited for Unit Poker, which is a decentralised heads-up(1vs1) Texas holdem poker game where 0.5% of each hand winnings go to $POKERCOIN holders.
The coolest thing is unlike poker sites/apps which are real-time, it’s turn-based/asynchronous so similar to the chess apps when each game/hand can take place over days.

As always, the table was filled with top entrepreneurs and investors he brings together every quarter.
I first met Fabrice in Paris, when I was 18, at the Le Web Conference back in 2012, hosted my mutual friend Loic Le Meur. Fabrice was speaking about the sharing economy as a defining trend of the Web 2.0 era.
A couple of years later, while I was working with the Founders Forum in 2015, I remember him hosting an unforgettable after-party at his newly acquired NYC penthouse.
Now, a decade later, he’s selling it for $13M — complete with jaw-dropping views and an impressive art collection.
Fabrice also shared wild stories from his OLX days — the global classifieds giant he co-founded in 2006 and exited in 2014. The platform now generates over $3B in annual revenue.
He’s also recently become a father of two, and called it the best feeling in the world — even admitting he’s surprised by how much he enjoys it and looks forward to growing his family further.
As for the poker? A few lucky hands and I walked away with almost 3x my buy-in. Great cards, greater company.
Excited for Unit Poker, which is a decentralised heads-up(1vs1) Texas holdem poker game where 0.5% of each hand winnings go to $POKERCOIN holders.
The coolest thing is unlike poker sites/apps which are real-time, it’s turn-based/asynchronous so similar to the chess apps when each game/hand can take place over days.

Bermuda is one of the most crypto-forward nations in the world. The government has built strong regulatory frameworks to support leading exchanges, wallets, and protocols.

Always a fascinating meal and conversation with Marian Goodell, CEO of Burning Man — the legendary gathering that brings together tens of thousands in the Nevada desert, and has now welcomed over 1.5 million people since its inception.
Each year, many of the world’s leading entrepreneurs, artists, and investors make a pilgrimage to Black Rock City for the burn.
Marian, based in San Francisco, first attended in 1995 and became one of six original founders when Burning Man began formalizing in 1997.
She also helps to introduce the 10 Principles that define the ethos of the burn:

My favorite part of the burn? Riding around on a bicycle, soaking in the art. Many people assume it’s all about doing drugs, but I generally don’t drink or do any drugs when I go — and still feel it’s the most inspiring artistic experience in the world.
I’m excited to explore how crypto, token economies, and the Unit Network can support artists, fund creative projects, and help evolve Burning Man into a sustainably resourced, decentralized cultural institution through tokenisation.
It could become a blueprint for the future — a global network of communities that function like network states, potentially redefining governance and governments altogether.

Came across these 12-year-old photos from 2013/2014.
It captures a moment where I did a test transaction of paying with Bitcoin on the island of Jersey — and few months prior attended a Bitcoin talk at the le web conference by James Currier.
It seemed like it was too late to get into Bitcoin and crypto then. The Chinese government had even talked about banning it with a statement from People’s bank of China.
“Chinese financial institutions are no longer permitted to handle Bitcoins. Bitcoins interfere with normal monetary policy, and
could be used for money laundering. User anonymity is not permitted."
I was 19 at the time, just out of high school(6th form). I had decided to skip university to focus full-time on continuing to build mobile apps and tech companies.
Then, Bitcoin spiked in 2011 from a low $2 to a high of $31 after a Gawker article titled “The Underground Website Where You Can Buy Any Drug Imaginable” referring to the “Silk Road” dark web marketplace. Then dropped as low as $4 in 2012 again.
The following year it skyrocketed to $1,147 in 2013 — before crashing to $309 in 2014. A real rollercoaster.
I remember when it crossed $1 then $10, both felt like a similar milestone to when it recently crossed $100k. Won’t be long before it crosses $1m, then $10m.
In 2012, the Bitcoin ATM across from my London apartment with a 7% fee on purchases seemed steep. In hindsight, the key was just jumping on the rocket ship. 🚀
People were already talking about it growing 100 times in the future — which seemed crazy. Yet today, Bitcoin is over 10,000 times higher in price and market cap, and the party is just getting started.
Recall having dinner with Verner Vogels(CTO of Amazon) and the founders of Slockit behind “the DAO” on Ethereum in 2013 which later raised 11.5m ETH(worth $100m then, now $26B).
Bitcoin was $100, and we joked that someday it would cross $100k and it would be a different world, and almost a decade later, here we are. Let’s see what happens in a decade from now.
With Unit Network, we’ve built technology and infrastructure that makes it easy for businesses and individuals everywhere to accept Bitcoin — and use it as a reserve asset.
I truly believe UnitCoin can follow a similar growth trajectory to Bitcoin. Exciting times ahead!

Epic lunch with US presidential candidate and UBI pioneer(universal basic income), Andrew Yang, aimed to provide all Americans with a freedom dividend of $1000 per month. We only recently met in person through my friend James after connecting virtually a decade ago.
Andrew is currently on a mission to build the first mobile telecom provider making mobile access more it affordable, and has raised lots of investment from top backers.
Andrew is a big fan of the Unit Network tokenisation model and vision, and praising it as what could be the successor to the freedom dividend wage, by making everyone a micro investor and stakeholder in all businesses globally.
Joined by Unit Network investor, James Chiu who runs Vatic Investments, which he started in 2014, leader in using artificial intelligence to do quant trading.
Previously, James worked at top trading firm Jump Trading in Chicago, where he became one of the biggest counterparties for S&P futures, trading over 30% of the entire future market.
Have met lots of the Vatic team who ranging from top traders which were in the famous novel/book “Flash Boys: A Wall Street Revolt”, to the previous head of Artificial Intelligence at Microsoft.
Really excited to tokenise $VATIC, and work closely with this partnership as artificial intelligence will likely replace the role of all funds globally with capital flowing around the economy more freely like water, and if all go well, powered by the Unit Network.
Andrew and James are both very passionate about supporting the Asian entrepreneur community which is something that I’m excited to help with.
Andrew previously launched the “GoldenDao” which has this as its mission. Unit Network is looking to roll out $ASIANCOIN, as well as a several ecosystem coins which supporting demographics, like $ARABCOIN, $JEWCOIN, $BLACKCOIN and more!
