The topic of Moral Thinkers and Philosophers is the most important and complex to understand in GS4 Ethics.
Important because it is used in each and every answer, even in essays and sometimes in GS1&2 as well.
Complex because it's tough to understand the theories and then even tougher to learn how to implement them as per the paper.
Since my optional is philosophy, i love teaching this topic the most.. in the most simplified manner.
So I was thinking of uploading a couple of lectures covering this topic in detail, Comprehensively and in the easiest way.
(This is also the next topic that will be covered in SFG)
But m not sure if it is actually needed. Thus taking this poll to gauge the requirement and interest.

Do you think a comprehensive lecture series on this topic is needed and will be helpful?

Here, Paulo Coelho is talking about the "fear of defeat" as an obstacle in pursuing our goals.
In these lines he tells us that Defeats Certainly Happen. Certainly. Maybe because of lack of experience or because of lack of guidance or because we make some mistakes.
What we must do when we face defeat:
1. Have patience in difficult times. PERSEVERE!!
2. Get up every time we fall. Coz that's What Life is.
This n only this is the sureshot recipe for success.

Struggling for your Dreams :
Even that's a Privilege.
In life we are often ignorant of the privileges that we get. We somehow start feeling that we are entitled to them.
One such privilege in life that we are most ignorant about is the ability to struggle.
To struggle for one's dreams.
We always tend to complain that we have to struggle so much to achieve our dreams. Year after year. Months, weeks, days. Tireless efforts. We complain n ask, Why me? Why do I have to struggle so much? We hate the struggle. We hate the struggling phase.
But have we ever given a thought to the fact that to be able to struggle and pursue our dream is a privilege in itself. There is a vast majority of the population that doesn't even get to pursue their dreams. Their dreams are killed under a lot of constraints. Sometimes those constraints are financial, other times they are gender based, racial, casteist etc etc etc.
Under those limitations, they have to take up things that they never wanted to. And live with them all their life. They never even get a chance to try n pursue their dreams.
Back when I was in Delhi, once I was out for my run when i saw a rickshaw puller old uncle who was washing his rickshaw. While doing that he was beautifully humming a song. I felt like talking to him.
This is how a few sentences of the conversation went:
Uncle : Kya karte hain?
Me : Kuch nahi uncle bas padh raha hu.
Uncle : To padh rahe hai to kuch nahi kaahein bol rahe hain. Kismat wale hain ki padh rahe hain.
Me : Haan par itne waqt se sirf padh hi Raha hu. Kuch ho to Raha nahi hai.
Uncle : Kitne waqt se padh rahe h?
Me : hogye h 4-5 saal
Uncle : Me 30 saal se zyada se rickshaw chala raha hu. Bachpane me kuch saal padh liya hota to saari zindagi ye nahi kar raha hota. Tab gareebi tha to haath me chana pyaaz de diya gharwalo ne ki jaake becho. Me bhi kitab copy ghar me rakh k lag gaya chane bechne me. Aajtak pachta raha hu.
Padhiye beta. Jabtak padh pa rahe h padhte rahiye.
The conversation stuck with me like anything.
Open your eyes. Look around yourself. You'll find so many such people.
So yes, it's a privilege to be able to pursue one's dream.
It's a privilege To be able to struggle.
Congratulations. You are privileged!!
{There's a sher by Abbas Qamar which resonates a similar idea and it goes like:
Hum hain Asir-e-zabt,ijazat nahi hume,
Ro pa rahe hain aap, Badhai ho, Roiye.
(Asir-e-zabt means captive)}
Struggle kar pa rahe h aap, Badhai ho, Kariye!
