Hundreds of anti-Biden demonstrators take stand during Idaho visit

More than 1,000 protesters gathered in Boise, Idaho, on Monday morning during a visit by President Joe Biden to express their frustration over his Coronavirus plan, the 2020 election and other issues.

The rally gathered outside a fire center where Biden is scheduled to speak. In attendance were “Lots of pro-Trump & anti-vaccine signs as well as some open-carry firearm displays,” according to CNN's Jeremy Diamond.

Facebook admits it sent misinformation researchers FLAWED DATA (Report)

A study to see how false information spreads on Facebook was only sent measured interactions by politically engaged accounts by the social media platform – which was not inclusive of all site users. (NYT)

Facebook launched a partnership with Social Science One over 3 years ago to independently study the spread of misinformation on the site - after CEO Mark Zuckerberg testified to Congress about the Cambridge Analytica data leak and foreign election interference.

Nearly 50 researchers are thought to have used the faulty data provided by FB. A social media researcher from the New Jersey Institute of Technology told the NYT: “We shouldn’t have trusted Facebook so much and should have demanded more effort to show validity in the area.”

Israeli Group Zero-Click Spyware Access Forces Apple to Issue Emergency Update

A flaw that allows the highly invasive Pegasus spyware from Israel’s NSO Group to INFECT anyone’s iPhone, Apple Watch or Mac computer without so much as ONE CLICK – has compelled Apple to announce emergency software updates for the critical vulnerability on Monday.

Researchers from Citizen Lab, a cybersecurity watchdog at the University of Toronto, discovered the “zero click remote exploit” while analyzing a Saudi activist’s iPhone that had been infected with Pegasus.

The zero-click exploit, called FORCEDENTRY, targets iMessage – once exploited Citizen Lab said the “NSO Group used the vulnerability to remotely exploit and infect the latest Apple devices with the Pegasus spyware.” The watchdog believes that FORCEDENTRY has been in use since at least February 2021.
