Multiple rallies on issues ranging from economic policy to COVID-19 vaccines in Greece's second-biggest city of Thessaloniki resulted in fierce clashes on Saturday.

Police deployed tear gas and water cannon and arrested several people who were marching on the Thessaloniki International Fair where Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis was delivering his annual economic speech.
