Dominic Adler's take on politcal policing over the years, with poor outcomes for just about everyone:
"Yet given the scale of the rape gang scandal, is it now unreasonable to ask if any babies were chucked out with the bathwater? I think they were. I describe it as “Tsunami Policing” — where the solution to a policing problem is, initially, like a gentle offshore wave. Then, as it rushes towards the landmass of reality, urged on by opinion formers and politicians and grasping police managers, it becomes a monstrosity. This describes the post-Macpherson Met’s obsession with race, whereby Scotland Yard played “trendy vicar” one minute, Torquemada the next."

Call me old fashioned, but as I observe the increasing numbers of (predominantly young) people wandering about the place with "earpods" permanently stuffed into their heads, I cannot help but think it a terribly bad idea. Situational awareness to zero, brain…
How times have changed.
As yet, nobody has replied with "what?"

Dan Astin-Gregory was kind enough to host me on his podcast and he asked a range of excellent questions during a discussion on the criminal justice system, which ended up ranging fairly far and wide.

Just listening through the first 15 minutes (now time for bed) there’s a striking parallel as Charles outlines today’s Police having ro deal with minor issues that should be sorted out within families and communities - things like hurty feelings - and what’s happening today within the NHS with multi-testing of perfectly healthy people who aren’t ill. The thresholds for intervention have been brought right down to nonsense. In nursing I was taught that if people are OK and they can get on without you, then leave well alone. This allows professional time to deal with those most in need. Ultimately in today’s NHS so much technocratic inspired outreach, useless appointments, apps and fake consultations do no good and just get in the way. The parallel for the Police is they can’t do their job as also happens in NHS. These enforced restrictions from above strangle our society. It’s Common Purpose at play.

How many women does it take to change a planet?
A BBC posse of propagandists has hit the ground running this year, pushing out such gems as:
"We love our pets. But research shows keeping animals is not always the most environmentally friendly thing to do. Take pet cats. They can generate over three tonnes of CO2 over the course of their life – equivalent to driving a petrol car 12,070km (7,500 miles)."
If you need a laugh, read on....or listen to the audio version as you drive your cat to work.

Dramatic seems to be the right word. This is from ONS data released on 28 Oct 24: "In 2023, there were 591,072 live births in England and Wales, a decrease of 14,407 compared with the previous year (605,479), and the lowest number of live births on record…
An important documentary from 2008, on fertility. The past few years have created such focus on harmful pharmaceutical interventions, that many of the constant attacks on reproduction are not paid nearly enough attention.
There are moments when this could be seen as an attack on "fossil fuels", but I think this would be to miss the point.

Dr Mike Yeadon, a former Vice President at Pfizer, has been consistenly censored and smeared, by the Establishment and the mainstream media, since speaking out in 2020.
The critical detail is that nobody has challenged the veracity of what he is saying.
He spoke to me for a UK Column interview:

Some of the Grauniad's best work (cooked up by FGS, which is another path leading back to Amber's brother, Roland Rudd), repackaged by the BBC to indicate that "Gen Z" are overwhelmingly in favour of no more elections, at a time when councils are pushing for....no more elections.

Do I remember correctly that Ariana Love has a protocol for reversing the effects (or potential effects) of the COVID jab (and others, I suppose)? Are there other suggestions out there? Contact details and further in the comments would be much appreciated.

Interesting to see how--after a lot of stretching--the phrase "moral equivalence" may be deployed: depending on whether one is referring to Palestine or Syria.
Hamas has been a proscribed organisation (in the UK) since November 2021.
Winding the clock back a bit further, we get to the proscription of Al Qa'ida, in March 2001:
"Inspired and led by Usama Bin Laden, its aims are the expulsion of Western forces from Saudi Arabia, the destruction of Israel and the end of Western influence in the Muslim world.
The government laid Orders, in July 2013 December 2016 and May 2017, which provided that the “al-Nusrah Front (ANF)”, “Jabhat al-Nusrah li-ahl al Sham”, “Jabhat Fatah al-Sham” and “Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham” should be treated as alternative names for the organisation which is already proscribed under the name Al Qa’ida."
