The rather strange demise of Michael Mosley has created some focus on one or two of the things he got up to in recent years.

Blood. In a 2015 piece, Mosley refers to his relationship with Saul Villeda, who was trying to rejuvenate old people with young blood.

"Although most studies so far have been done in rodents, trials have begun at Stanford University in which patients with early signs of Alzheimer's get infusions of blood from young volunteers. So can Villeda imagine a time when elderly people with fading memories are regularly infused with blood from young people?

"My hope," Villeda says, "is that we can identify the youthful factors in blood that we want to raise and the ageing factors we have to lower. And I think that'll be a much better way, a much more controlled way."

Understandably I wasn't allowed to take part in the trial and my children were strangely reluctant to donate their blood, so instead I tried a different form of blood-based rejuvenation therapy - an infusion of PRP (platelet rich plasma), more popularly known as the Vampire Facelift.

Championed by the likes of Kim Kardashian, it consists of taking your own blood, spinning it down, extracting the plasma and and injecting it back into your face. Strange as it sounds, the use of PRP to heal and repair is currently a very hot area of scientific research."

Classic repartee from a man who thinks he should be put in charge of running the administration of an entire country.

To vote (independent) or not to vote....that is the question.

Remarkably, the last three paragraphs of this article translate to mean that World Aquatics does not want men in women's sport.

Woke language is not just dangerous; it is completely nonsensical!

The National Grid is pushing what they are calling "Social Indicator Mapping".

They say:

"We use detailed data and new technology to help us target and reach people who need a little extra help.

Our social indicator mapping tool enables us to identify areas where our vulnerable customers live. This powerful tool allows us to offer guidance and support that keeps them safe and warm.

By identifying target areas, we can focus our resources on people and populations who need them most."

They mean that they are intent on harvesting data to pass on to 120+ partners, mostly involved in AI and the Internet of Things, which amounts to a little less than a guarantee of safety and warmth.

Below the "Benefits of being on our register", it is stated that "We are committed to helping those customers who need it most and we want to make it easier for our customers to sign up for priority services and to get help from other utilities such as energy suppliers and water companies. Therefore, we may also share your personal information with energy and utility companies, such as gas and water companies, so you can also benefit from their support."

Debi Evans mentioned Breckenridge during a UKC outing last night. This piece, published by the BMJ in 2004, issues a damning appraisal of the Yellow Card Scheme. 20 years on, the mechanisms which continue to compromise the MHRA have ensured no change to the situation.

"The system of pharmacovigilance in the UK has been fatally flawed for
a very long time. Drug scandal after drug scandal over the years has
demonstrated this (2) such that for many victims, the Yellow Card Scheme
can only be described over the past 40 years as a disaster, and that is
despite the many medical professionals who will rush to praise it highly,
ignoring its serious failings. The government has been embarrassed into
rushing out, under cover of this review, dealing with making adverse drug
reaction data more widely available, patient reporting of adverse
reactions. Patient reporting is considered necessary because of continued
massive under reporting of adverse reactions, which continues despite a
previous initiative of the extension of the Yellow Card Scheme to nursing
and pharmacists."

If you are familiar with the work of Marianna Spring, the chances are that you will have come across Brent Lee. Brent describes himself as a "former conspiracy theorist" on his Twitter profile and his content is viewed and shared by all the right people.

This is a thread he put out in 2022, which he has just referenced again, to confirm how far down the rabbit hole he had been and how terribly wrong he was.

In the same way that you only get air-time about the jab if you have actually taken it, or if you are suggesting it would have been OK to take it--or even mandate it--if only it were "safe", so-called conspiracy theorists are only visible once they have snapped out of it and told the world how wrong they were. It is not entirely clear which sector of society forms the market for this sort of thing, but that hasn't slowed production.

Whilst trudging around in the mud in Cumbria, between intermittent blasts of glorious sunshine, I had the good fortune to meet Willsy, of Resistance GB. He was keen to talk policing and UK Column, each of which I know a little of, and now he's put it out as a video (only 10 mins):

I spoke to Laura Towler a couple of weeks ago, and our conversation has just been published. As I have said several times, whether or not you agree with the views of Sam Melia, there can be no doubt that he has not been treated fairly by the criminal justice system.

Restricting all contact with his children was an oppressive measure and demonstrates a flagrant abuse of the Ministry of Justice guidance.

In 2005 and 2006, Tony Blair gave interviews without coffee to two successive Chiefs of the General Staff (head of the British Army); Mike Jackson and Richard Dannatt. This coincided with the expectation that senior serving military personnel would talk up overseas operations as "keeping our streets safe", which was–of course–a terrible lie.

I quoted from Jonathan Powell's memoir on today's UK Column News, and I have exactly the same sense of incredulity at the rank stupidity and ignorance of the occupants of the sofa at 10 Downing Street at the time.

Please read this for a reminder of how bad the Blair years were, and why. It says an awful lot about our society today that the man himself is still considered significant.

British politicians and the BBC climbing over each other in the fight to accuse Vladimir Putin of trying to garner support for Russia in the conflict in Ukraine.

Of course, they are exactly the same people that are constantly trying to garner support for Ukraine in the conflict they are trying to expand into Russia.

Apart from the fact that Bill Gates probably doesn't live in Wyoming–increasing the possibility of an industrial "accident"–what is the angle where nuclear power is concerned?

He is pushing Terrapower, which is his. Nuclear seems sensible. Gates does not. What's the catch?

Hard as it is to believe, this is not a parody account, nor is he a parody figure. Daniel Sleat, shown in a video clip in the above segment from yesterday's clip, is Tony Blair's man on defence and geopolitics.

Having secured Nick Carter, with whom to pick the locks, the Blair Initiative for Global Change is marching into the theatre of defence and post-conflict reconstruction.

It is probable that either Paddington Bear or Columbo would be better qualified as front-man for such a campaign.
