Restaurants were excluded from rationing during the war, that's how most wealthy got around it, by dining out all the time. I expect it would be the same again.

Yesterday marked a century since the government tried to push people into believing that animals can make humans ill. Today, this propaganda is managed by the Animal and Plant Health Agency:

Chief Veterinary Officer Christine Middlemiss said:

"Animal diseases can pose a threat to human health, food security and economic growth. To address these threats effectively, the global community needs to work in a coordinated way, across sectors, disciplines, and borders using a ‘One Health’ approach."

APHA’s scientific facility at Weybridge is the UK’s primary capability for managing the threats posed by the spread of diseases carried by animals, many of which pose a significant threat to public health, the economy, and the environment. The threat from zoonotic diseases is increasing, with nearly two-thirds of infectious diseases in humans originating in animals.

It should come as no great surprise that the etymological basis for words concerning disease and the extortion money are inextricably linked:

"Back to words: let’s start with immunity. The word comes from the latin term “immunis”, meaning “without tax”. Roman soldiers who had returned from foreign wars could, at least for a time, be granted tax-exempt status as members of the Genio Immunium, which owed adherence to the Goddess Minerva. Minerva had a number of divine portfolios, including wisdom, medicine, the arts and defensive warfare. The “tax” that immunity has evolved to defeat is the tax of infection."

In a brief segment on UK Column News this afternoon, I gave an update on the utterly inappropriate plans for the Holocaust Memorial in Victoria Tower Garden. The parliamentary committee supposedly scrutinising the Bill have pulled their punches, or so it seems.

However, bearing in mind that the teaching of the Holocaust is the only compulsory component of the entire history curriculum, perhaps that should not come as a surprise.

Were you aware of that?

"In recognition of its significance, the Holocaust is the only historic event which is compulsory within the history curriculum. Pupils must be taught about it at Key Stage 3 (usually when pupils are aged 13-14).

The Holocaust has been a named topic within the history curriculum since the first curriculum of 1991."

Here, enshrining teaching of the Holocaust in law is seen as "balanced". Might there be other historical events, in British history, to balance this with?

"The National Curriculum

In England, by law children are to be taught about the Holocaust as part of the Key Stage 3 History curriculum; in fact, the Holocaust is the only historical event whose study is compulsory on the National Curriculum. This usually occurs in Year 9 (age 13-14). While academy schools do not have to follow this syllabus, it is assumed that they will deliver Holocaust education as part of a “balanced and broadly based” curriculum. Similarly, although independent schools are not obliged to deliver the National Curriculum, many in fact do."

A remarkable result for Matthew Randolph in the election for PCC, where he stood as an independent candidate in Gloucestershire.

It must be noted that his opponents Martin Surl and Chris Nelson have both held the post before (Nelson incumbent) and that Ashley Smith is politically aligned and, therefore, supported.

Randolph's campaign was arranged hastily and actively subverted by mainstream media, the BBC in particular. Nonetheless, he polled over 15,000 votes, campaigning on a ticket of truth and transparency. He was outspoken on the issue of the illegal development of a 5G network in the county and the failure by police to address criminal activities which led to vaccine harms.

The Julian Assange film 'The Trust Fall' is playing at 88 Odeon cinema sites across the UK on Wednesday 8th of May.

I would urge people to go and see it if you can.

It is a mind blowing film, and if enough bums are on seats, Odeon will extend the films run.

The more people see this, the better.

Here are the locations - https://www.odeon.co.uk/films/the-trust-fall-julian-assange/HO00005587/

A very fair question. If there are any suggestions that this is not the case, I would be interested to see them.

By coincidence, 2.5% is probably the increase the Prime Minister's tailor needs to see before he starts cutting suits which fit properly.

The short suit looked ridiculous on Daniel Craig as James Bond, and standing in front of some heavy armour doesn't help much.

This excellent music video was played in UK Column News Extra yesterday. I suggest it is pushed out to those you know who watch television, with the recommendation that it is watched each time there is an inclination to switch the set on.
