News story:
£72.5-million investment for laser and radio frequency weapons

Minister for Defence Procurement, Jeremy Quin, said:

“We are investing £6.6-billion in research and development across Defence over the next four years, reaffirming our commitment to provide the Armed Forces with truly advanced capabilities."

"Directed Energy Weapons are a key element of our future equipment programmes and we intend to become a world-leader in the research, manufacture and implementation of this next-generation technology.”

Marking a significant step towards the use of high-powered laser and radio frequency weapons across Defence, the investment reaffirms commitments outlined in the Defence Command Paper ensuring UK Armed Forces are equipped with the best possible equipment ready to deal with new and emerging threats.

Further supported by an increase of £24-billion of Defence spending over the next four years and an additional £6.6 billion of funding for research and development, this a prime example of how the MOD is using research partnerships with industry to invest in the technology of tomorrow.

Pennies starting to drop at Broadcasting House.

'"Let's take, for example, a lithium mining company. You need a lot of lithium for the energy transition revolution," she says. So, a company might turn to lithium suppliers in Latin America, that uses green electricity for their mining operations – meeting the "E" [environmental] requirement of the term. However, an investigation might subsequentially reveal that the supplier is violating labour laws – the "S" [social] component of the ESG-centred initiative.'

Charles Eisenstein; one of the few people to take the time to think the big things through.

'In the objective sense of an ethical principle, we can argue whether this or that war was justified. But in terms of the rhetorical act of the human being called justifying, all wars are justified. Someone is justifying them.

This is why, as I have argued over the past month, we must exit the conversation about what is justified if there is ever going to be an end to the violence in the Holy Land.'

A reminder of whom is in bed with WHO.

This is a still from a short video on the benefits of Vitamin D, with regard to overall health. The accompanying text does not mention any novel illnesses.

However, those helpful YouTubers are on hand to point you towards World Health Organisation guidance on receiving a 'Covid-19 vaccine'. Google, the non-binary parent entity, has some 'more resources' for you to look at.

If you would like to watch John Campbell on this study's findings...

The comments below this video are Jerm's, but I wonder if anyone is able to provide any sort of explanation for what looks like an extraordinary sequence of events.

Anti-antisemitism good, pro-Palestinian bad. Has S Braverman moved into comms role for the Met?

Still not much space on the mood boards for peace.

Just a month to go until the days start to get longer, or 46 minutes of daylight still to lose (if you're in London).

Desperate marketing; NHS advertising festive jabs with an apparent nod to the 90s television sensation, Gladiators.

How very typical of the health service to put three completely unsuitable contenders in harm's way, armed with no more than padded sticks.

As for the guidance that the ad points to, is it to be inferred that those not in the listed categories should NOT consider such 'vaccinations'?

Touched on this on UK Column news on Friday. Depressingly predictable.

Brent Lee is one of a growing number of rabbits apparently popping back out of the hole they had descended into, whilst shouting loudly about it.

Lee is one of the tools in Marianna Spring's workshop and it seems likely that he, and those being promoted in the same manner, will be assisting with the invaluable content provided by 'BBC Verify'.

These characters are almost the poor man's versions of something John le Carré might have created, only with less charm and longer hair. Certainly, we will never know what he really thinks.

Just seen on Alex Thomson's channel. The book reviewed looks like it would make an excellent Christmas present!

"Among the gems that I found particularly funny are Darren’s introduction of appean, meaning “to agree with everything someone says in order to get them to shut up”, and brangle, meaning “to agitate someone who is calm by telling them to calm down, to make someone break something by fearing for their clumsiness, to annoy someone by asking if you are annoying them”.

Often, of course, the humour is rooted in social critique, such as the explanation that to advertise is to “spray poo with glitter”, that an apartment/flat is “a garage for the overnight storage of wage slaves”, or that postmodernism involves “using ‘ah, but it’s not supposed to be taken seriously’ as the justification for smearing one’s excrement over a potato”.

I like the notion of wotnog, which is “not quite understanding what someone is saying, but smiling, nodding and ‘yeahing’ your way through, in the hope that you’ll get the point in the end, which turns out to be mistaken as you find you don’t understand, but you can’t now say you don’t understand because that would mean confessing that all your understanding sounds were tiny little lies”.

And I am sure many could relate to the following Apocalypedia definition:

provulsion, n.
1. [job-advertisement generated sensation of] trying to get a job while, at the same time, being appalled at the prospect of being employed;
2. fear of losing a job while, at the same time, desperately hoping that one’s factory or office will be swept away in a tornado or hammered into OBLIVION by an enormous fist"
