The Church of England on the scrounge, again. Interesting, since the Church Commission sits on £10.1 billion. Yes, billion.

'Prayerfully reflect' is a new one on me. However, in my prayerful reflections, I have considered the C of E's contribution to the 'cost of living crisis', in slamming the doors before they were pushed and shutting down all revenue streams from early 2020.

And now, as they struggle aboard the Net Zero bandwagon (with no real understanding of the implications), they will force church congregations into spending money that does not yet exist.

All of this as they continue to fund genomics, the manufacture of lethal weapons and, of course, pornography!

Are these virtual ambulances to take the virtual patient to his virtual ward after being visited by the virtual doctor?
Hang on a minute, if I look in my virtual lock up I am sure I have some virtual wards spare that I picked up from a nightingale hospital that was set up in 2020....brand new, never been used.
Got some virtual bridges to sell too for the virtual ambulances to be able to cross the virtual rivers...

What about instead of sending £220million of humanitarian aid and £2.3 BILLION in military aid the the Ukraine the government spend that money to improve services in UK.
Charity begins at home.
Come to think of it, it’s not actually charity; it’s hard earned UK tax
I would encourage you to read this guidance, if only to see that we have elected a government that will legislate against 'balloon sticks' at the same time as funding and enabling the mass slaughter of Russians and Ukrainians.

'Cutlery and balloon sticks

From 1 October you must not supply single-use plastic cutlery or balloon sticks.

There are no exemptions to this ban.'

Guidance:
Single-use plastics ban: plates, bowls, trays, containers, cutlery and balloon sticks

The ban on these items will include:

- online and over-the-counter sales and supply
- items from new and existing stock
- all types of single-use plastic, including biodegradable, compostable and recycled
- items wholly or partly made from plastic, including coating or lining

‘Single use’ means the item is meant to be used only once for its original purpose.

Covid tests?

I was in the Wells Bishop's Palace men's toilets recently. A note stated that occupants can ask for sanitary.products at the desk. That's the state of the CofE.

Hurrah for the single use plastics ban. HMG's brilliant lawmakers have just cancelled Masks, PCR Tests and PPE.
Hilarious.

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Jesus Christ, Luke 6:31

I wonder if, like me, you were brought up to live according to this principle. It makes for a straightforward life, that's for sure.

A maxim of my grandmother's that I always enjoyed was Mind over Matter.

She would apply this to people's thoughts on seating plans at lunches and dinners, with regard to whom they were sitting next to.

Those that mind don't matter, and those that matter don't mind.

Infallible logic, it seems to me.

If you’ve been following recent news about Russell Brand being “cancelled” by Youtube, you may find this interesting.

Apparently, someone in the UK Parliament wrote to the Rumble video platform, asking them to de-platform Russell, and Rumble refused the request. This is Rumble’s letter about it, published today.

Charles Eisenstein on transhumanism and its adulation by 'progressives', from last summer.

It's a long read, but I reckon he's on the right track, especially when it comes to reclaiming our place in the natural world.

'Anguish tears at me when I see today’s children immersed in the physically safe digital world, having virtual adventures while never leaving their bedrooms, unable to throw a ball or skip rope, never experiencing unsupervised imaginative group play.'

Nearly a fortnight ago, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) decided that the arrogance of a government department was unreasonable, and ordered the Department for Science, Information and Technology (DSIT) to answer a Freedom of Information (FOI) request, pertaining to the activities of the Counter-Disinformation Unit (CDU).

The ICO wrote: 'Given that DSIT has failed to outline how any substantial, or even more
than remotely possible, prejudice to the effective conduct of public
affairs could result from the disclosure of this specific requested
information, the Commissioner is limited in the weight he can accord to
the public interest arguments in favour of maintaining the exemption. '

DSIT has been given 35 days to spill the beans, or appeal the decision. Which way will this go, you may wonder? Given that the original FOI request was submitted on 2nd March of this year, you may take an educated guess.

On the subject of so-called 'disinformation', the hot seat is about to be vacated, leaving space for a new incumbent with a very broad portfolio.

The Director General, Defence and Intelligence will be 'responding to and countering disinformation, propaganda and information manipulation threats by of hostile actors globally', as well as 'leading the FCDO’s wider response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.'

You have until 8 Oct to get your papers in.
