£200 million to boost NHS resilience and care this winter
The Urgent and Emergency Care Recovery Plan announced earlier this year was backed by £1 billion to boost capacity in the health system by providing 5,000 additional beds, 800 new ambulances and 10,000 virtual wards.
The government remains committed to cutting waiting lists – there has been good progress made on the Elective Recovery Plan with 2 year and 18 month waits eliminated so far.(Please see a waiting list chart here: https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-briefings/cbp-7281/ )
Last year, the government established the Elective Recovery Taskforce, made up of academics and experts from the NHS and independent sector, to look for ways to go further to bust the Covid backlogs and reduce waiting times for patients. The Church of England on the scrounge, again. Interesting, since the Church Commission sits on £10.1 billion. Yes, billion.
'Prayerfully reflect' is a new one on me. However, in my prayerful reflections, I have considered the C of E's contribution to the 'cost of living crisis', in slamming the doors before they were pushed and shutting down all revenue streams from early 2020.
And now, as they struggle aboard the Net Zero bandwagon (with no real understanding of the implications), they will force church congregations into spending money that does not yet exist.
All of this as they continue to fund genomics, the manufacture of lethal weapons and, of course, pornography!

Hang on a minute, if I look in my virtual lock up I am sure I have some virtual wards spare that I picked up from a nightingale hospital that was set up in 2020....brand new, never been used.
