For the ever-increasing number of those that eschew all outlets of commercial or mainstream media, it is funny to register the scale of shock when receiving the occasional glancing blow.

I found today's copy of The Daily Telegraph poking me in the eye this morning, and the front page included hits on 'antivaxxers', anti-trans legislation and anyone interested in peace amongst Slavs. Also a piece in which a Court of Appeal judge confirms his status as a buffoon by endorsing AI writing tools.

Having spent yesterday evening in the company of secondary school pupils, I am extremely confident that this drivel is not dented by their bargepoles, which is enormously encouraging.

More vicious Telegraph twaddle.

Another 'should I worry' classic. This time from the Guardian. Unusually, the answer to the question is 'no', but that's because they have managed to get through the entire article without mentioning either fluoride or glyphosate.

As we know, if you pay for the science, you get the version of it that you want.

Press release:
£200 million to boost NHS resilience and care this winter

The Urgent and Emergency Care Recovery Plan announced earlier this year was backed by £1 billion to boost capacity in the health system by providing 5,000 additional beds, 800 new ambulances and 10,000 virtual wards.

The government remains committed to cutting waiting lists – there has been good progress made on the Elective Recovery Plan with 2 year and 18 month waits eliminated so far. (Please see a waiting list chart here: https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-briefings/cbp-7281/)

Last year, the government established the Elective Recovery Taskforce, made up of academics and experts from the NHS and independent sector, to look for ways to go further to bust the Covid backlogs and reduce waiting times for patients. It has since published an implementation plan, including reviewing the use of the independent sector in training junior NHS staff.

You may not be a fan of Roger Whittaker (yet). He has just died and the BBC made sure to present the most important pieces of information right away:

'Despite fighting with the British colonial army in Kenya, he is also very popular in the country.'

The Church of England on the scrounge, again. Interesting, since the Church Commission sits on £10.1 billion. Yes, billion.

'Prayerfully reflect' is a new one on me. However, in my prayerful reflections, I have considered the C of E's contribution to the 'cost of living crisis', in slamming the doors before they were pushed and shutting down all revenue streams from early 2020.

And now, as they struggle aboard the Net Zero bandwagon (with no real understanding of the implications), they will force church congregations into spending money that does not yet exist.

All of this as they continue to fund genomics, the manufacture of lethal weapons and, of course, pornography!

Are these virtual ambulances to take the virtual patient to his virtual ward after being visited by the virtual doctor?
Hang on a minute, if I look in my virtual lock up I am sure I have some virtual wards spare that I picked up from a nightingale hospital that was set up in 2020....brand new, never been used.
Got some virtual bridges to sell too for the virtual ambulances to be able to cross the virtual rivers...

What about instead of sending £220million of humanitarian aid and £2.3 BILLION in military aid the the Ukraine the government spend that money to improve services in UK.
Charity begins at home.
Come to think of it, it’s not actually charity; it’s hard earned UK tax
