An excellent UK Column News just now, with many issues to consider.

A website I would very strongly urge you to look at is Defy Tyrants, which has been set up by Matt Trewhella, whom you may know as the author of The Doctrine of the Lesser Magistrates. Mark Anderson gave a most encouraging report about political overhauls made in Michigan, apparently as a direct result of Trewhella's speaking tour of five counties there. See for yourself.

Below video posted in the chat by Nic. I am not sure how these figures are arrived at, or how they can be verified, but the principle of what is being said may be of use when discussing this issue with the climate emergency enthusiasts. It would be reasonable to assume that none has any idea how much carbon dioxide is being produced or absorbed by either anthropogenic or biogenic means.

Anyone that has been eyeball to eyeball with a tailless whip scorpion (common in East Africa and completely harmless) may concede the possibility that 'other life forms' may be out there. Or, that many of those here look like they came from somewhere else.

That all iconography and narrative detail related to 'aliens' so closely resembles human invention and human form makes related news items seem comical. This is, of course, enhanced by the suggestion that—just like in the movies—they only ever land and take off in America!

If we had to send an emissary to another realm to dispense the sort of critique that Paul Hellyer became famous for receiving, it is hard to imagine their being given much of a hearing once the topics of gender and climate came up, to name but a few.

Whatever else he may have got right or wrong, Oliver Cromwell was adamant that no parliamentarian should be a serving soldier. Something neither this government nor 77 Brigade care about, made evident by the activities of Tobias Ellwood.

In October 2017, Ellwood (before his eye was glinting at war with Russia) announced a new Veterans' ID card. This was to help veterans out by providing a means of verifying their identity 'securely' and 'digitally'. I think you can see where this is going, though MOD continue to deny—most strenuously—that this will be in any way linked to biometrics, medical, banking or any other sort of data.

However, the point to be made is that now, nearly six years later, there is virtually no progress on this; still just Govt guff about 'continued progress'. Whilst ensnaring veterans in the digital prison may not be a priority, it should be seen as one of the easier Pooh-traps to set, as these cards enable 'discounts', which members of the armed forces, serving and retired, usually find irresistible.

It is possible that the reason for the delay is that everything must be ready to go at the same time (digital ID for all, health pass, CBDC etc), but my money is on ineptitude across Govt and Civil Service. Whilst ineptitude is not a quality we would wish for in the so-called corridors of power, it may prove useful.

Colonel Gaddafi published his Green Book in 1975, in which he espoused a 'practical system of direct democracy'. His opening words are below, which means that you can decide whether or not he was on the right track (as opposed to being helped by the BBC to make your decision). Below this text is a link to the book itself and, below that, the BBC's examination of the Green Book after Gaddafi's demise. As always, there is no attempt at impartiality. That the attempted export of 'modern Western democracy' has been such a universal and destructive failure is a little less of a riddle after reading this.

'The instrument of government is the prime political problem confronting human communities (The problem of the instrument of government entails questions of the following kind. What form should the exercise of authority assume? How ought societies to organize themselves politically in the modern world?)

Even conflict within the family is often the result of the failure to resolve this problem of authority It has clearly become more serious with the emergence of modern societies.

People today face this persistent question in new and pressing ways. Communities are exposed to the risks of uncertainty and suffer the grave consequences of wrong answers. Yet none has succeeded in answering it conclusively and democratically. THE GREEN BOOK presents the ultimate solution to the problem of the proper instrument of government.

All political systems in the world today are a product of the struggle for power between alternative instruments of government. This struggle may be peaceful or armed, as is evidenced among classes, sects, tribes, parties or individuals. The outcome is always the victory of a particular governing structure - be it that of an individual, group, party or class - and the defeat of the people; the defeat of genuine democracy.

Political struggle that results in the victory of a candidate with, for example, 51 per cent of the votes leads to a dictatorial governing body in the guise of a false democracy, since 49 per cent of the electorate is ruled by an instrument of government they did not vote for, but which has been imposed upon them. Such is dictatorship. Besides, this political conflict may produce a governing body that represents only a minority. For when votes are distributed among several candidates, though one polls more than any other, the sum of the votes received by those who received fewer votes might well constitute an overwhelming majority However, the candidate with fewer votes wins and his success is regarded as legitimate and democratic! In actual fact, dictatorship is established under the cover of false democracy. This is the reality of the political systems prevailing in the world today. They are dictatorial systems and it is evident that they falsify genuine democracy.'

The Indiana Department of Health illustrating, perfectly, almost everything that has gone wrong with science in the 21st century.

Substitute the word fluoridation with a topic of your choice; the answer works for everything.

In penning an article for the Stroud News & Journal, local MP Siobhan Baillie has chosen to immolate the last vestiges of her reputation.

Yet another representative of the people with absolutely no idea what freedom of expression means. As you will see, she explains how she attempted to have Stroud District Council prohibit the distribution of The Light paper, before reminding readers that we live in a free country.

She must belong somewhere, but it is certainly not in the Palace of Westminster.

Geoengineering has been taking place, after all. Inadvertently, of course.

'The natural experiment created by the IMO rules is providing a rare opportunity for climate scientists to study a geoengineering scheme in action—although it is one that is working in the wrong direction. Indeed, one such strategy to slow global warming, called marine cloud brightening, would see ships inject salt particles back into the air, to make clouds more reflective.'
