A number of well known social activists, politicians, dissenters and journalists has been "arrested" or kidnapped by the paramilitary groups of the Ukrainian authorities. Some have been found dead, some have not been found. Some like the Kononovich brothers are been held in a special detention center and have received severe beatings constantly.
